day fifty – a couple of days

Its been two days since I’ve last posted. Last night, though I chose to go check out Freelance Marketplace Writers Club that meets at Barnes and Nobles of Rochester Hills every third Tuesday at 7:30 pm. I could have blogged then, but I decided to go out and visit this group instead. There were over 12 individuals – bloggers and writers of some sorts. We had a guest speaker that shared about using social media to promote your book or whatever topic you’re focused on. I left a little early – it ran beyond 9 pm.

So, tonight will be catch up night for school work and other things since I didn’t do any of them last night.

What is happening this week – for work, tonight is Ambassador Network Meeting at the Rochester Hills Public Library. Its the first one of the year and the newly elected chair gets to outline her vision for 2014. Afterwards is networking at Rojo in Downtown Rochester. On Friday, the Ambassadors are getting together again – from 4 to 6 pm at GanBei Chinese Restaurant, also in Downtown Rochester. Hubby will meet me there afterwards.

Saturday evening is the artist reception for Detroit artist, Michelle Tanguay at Fieldstone Winery, from 6 to 9 pm. I have to get some sort of dessert platter taken care of today. Probably will stop at Holy Cannoli.  I will spend Saturday morning and afternoon grading.

Sunday we will head down to Detroit for the Motor City Tattoo Convention to check out the latest in artist works. I wish weekends would not go by so fast. I really want another tattoo, but I don’t know if I will be able to get one done while we’re down there.

I’ve been thinking of another business card for me: Chrissy’s Studio, I’m a blogger, artist, and instructor. What do you think?

I hope to find someplace during the late spring and summer where I can do workshops (got one hopefully going with Black Cat Pottery) and classes.

I need to read Week 7 of “The Complete Artist Way” – looks like it is about Listening, Perfectionism, Risks and Jealousy.

But first, I need breakfast, shower and get ready for my full day at the Chamber. Tomorrow its a half day at the Chamber then it’s lunch with my mother. I am looking forward to that.

Carpe Diem
